Iran, UAE banks sign cooperation agreement

TEHRAN, Oct. 9 (MNA) – Iran’s Saman Bank and Emirates Bank International on Monday, signed a switch connection agreement in Dubai.

Based on an agreement reached between the two banks, the holders of the Iranian bank’s cash cards or debit cards will be able to withdraw cash from all the ATM (Automated Teller Machines) units installed at the Emirates Bank and Emirates Islamic Bank.

 

In addition, installation of some 10,000 POS (point of sale) machines at the stores and hotels of the UAE doing business with the United Arab Emirates Bank International and Emirates’ Islamic Bank will facilitate purchases and business for Iranian visitors of the sheikhdom, the Persian service of IRNA said on Monday.

 

Meanwhile, holders of such cards issued by the Emirates Bank International and Emirates Islamic Bank can make use of the more than 23,000 POS machines installed at a number of stores in Iran.
